About Me

I started my writing career with 52 Fights, a collection of essays about my first year of marriage. Now, twelve years into our marriage and three children later, I’m exploring topics that go beyond us. In particular, I’m drawn to stories about women who inspire me, whether through their careers or through their hearts, as well as travel writing.

A graduate of Columbia University’s School of the Arts, my work has appeared in publications such as More Magazine, Parents Magazine, Delta Sky Magazine, TheAtlantic.com and The Washington Post. I’m based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

  1. I enjoyed your article about Amtrak’s Empire Builder. My wife and I rode it 6 years ago from Seattle to Chicago and had a wonderful time and enjoyed the scenery. We got off the train in Essex, MT to spend a few days in Glacier national park.
